The folk music band tries through its orchestral suits
to preserve the folk songs' melodious, synthesizing a series of emotional features which express the musical thinking and the sensitivity of the people.
The music band "BALADA" perform together with
the folklore ensemble "DOINA CARPATILOR" and by oneself.
The leader of music band "BALADA" is Marinicã
Botea.
"BALADA" is famous in Romania and it is well-
known abroad.
The band has melodies which are frequently
transmitted at national radio station and numerous TV
appearances.
The last albums appeared in 2001.
- The first one is named "Plaiuri stramosesti"
("Forefathers' fields") and it gathers popular dance music which has its origin in central Moldavia and in another Romanian counties.
These song are sung with high emotion and
artistic gift by young members of "DOINA CARPATILOR" popular music band, Marinicã Botea is their conductor.
The song contain traditional dance music
elements, and these elements are still found in some parts of Iasi district and another Romanian counties.
The musical background (violin, pan's flute,
clarinet, trumpet, saxophone) is skillfully realized. Although there are many instrument used on this album, they are carefully used, according to the songs. This structure reminds forgotten in the advantage of big bands.
- The second record appeared in 2001 is named
"Din batrani, din oameni buni..." ("Of yore, of good men...") which is generosity presented by "Balada" band under Marinicã Botea's baton, contain a part of folklore creations presented and applauded in folklore spectacles of the Festivals' competition "Barbu Lautaru".
This record stand out in a large measure two
significant anniversary moments: 30 years of artistic activity for Stefan Pintilie and 25 years in service of the folklore for Marinicã Botea.
"BALADA" possess many trophies at national and
international festivals.
Past the Romanian folkore the band has in its
repertory: waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, tangos, cafe-concert etc. |
