DANCE GROUP of
"DOINA CARPATILOR"

The dance group performs suites of
dances from all regions in Romania.
Here are some presentations of
traditional dances:
1. Dance suite in Iasi, the region of
Moldavian Plateau. |

This suite is characterized by the
dynamic and "Contra tempo" steps, performed by youth, completed by girls elegance and conduct. |
|
2. Dance - in Oas, specific to Satu Mare
district, in north-west of the country. |
|
The alert rhythm of steps cadence carried out in
"Contra tempo" of renowned wheel in Oas,
characterizes the temperament of the Romanians in this port of the country. About their costume, the Oas, people say :
" Each Oas - man wears <<gaci>>
Heritage from Dacians"

3. "Călusul", old manly dance.

Along the "Cotmeana Valley" groups of
"Călusul" dancers meet together, swearing :
" We swear by the flag
We will keap our dear <<Călusul>> dance
To be danced by all of us
And we will bequeath it to our grandsons
To further carry it
With trust and justice".
