DOINA
CARPATILOR

At the beginning, 39 years ago, a student folk
music band and the dance group, were trying through
the Romanian folk melodies and dances of a unique
beauty and authenticity, to transmit to the audience the
audience the affection for the gems preserved from
time immemorial.

The folk music band tries through its orchestral
suits to preserve the folk songs' melodious,
synthesizing a series of emotional features which
express the musical thinking and the sensitivity of the
people. The folk dance suits from nearly all county's
areas, set with refinement, but trying not to diminish
the authenticity pattern, have brought to the group
great successes both on Romanian stages and one
those from abroad. The tours performed in Greece,
France, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Finland, Italy,
Poland, Portugal, USA, Spain, the thunders of
applause with which the Romanian student performers
have been met, have proved once again that the
Romanian folklore, by its virtuosity, rhythm and variety,
is situated among the first places in the world.

The successes of the "DOINA CARPATILOR"
Ensemble, in the last years, which conferred on them
the title of laureate of the National Festival, as the
results of a permanent artistic life.

If all people which were once members of the
"DOINA
CARPATILOR" ensemble might be gathered, they
were over a thousand persons.
